Dr. Bissell completed the requirements for Board Certification by The American Board of Periodontology. As a Board Certified Diplomate, Dr. Bissell joins a very small percentage of periodontists who have achieved this educational and practical feat. In order to earn the title of Diplomate, Dr. Bissell completed the extensive educational requirements, which include comprehensive written and oral examinations covering all phases of periodontal disease and treatment, as well as preparing and delivering in-depth presentations regarding actual treatment provided to patients. In addition, he must recertify every three years by completing mandatory continuing education credits and self-study.

Only after consultation told us that we have to pay $250 consultation fees for a 30 mins consultation and that they don't take our insurance. During treatment Dr. suggested treatment but said it is optional but then sent to the dentist report saying they must do this treatment. What would be free under insurance would be almost $3k with their practice. So check with your insurance and go here only if they are in your network. Cathy at the front desk and the technician were WONDERFUL at calming me down and Doc Bissell, well, the chillest, coolest, best perio I could ever ask for. Going for small procedure in Aug and have no doubts he will fly me through it and take the best care of me there is. Don't use any other perio! He is DA MAN!
